Hey guys, today I'm gonna tell you a story about a guy named Jack.
As a kid Jack didn't have much, he was always the kid who didn't have the latest toys or clothes and shoes, in school he was neither a nerd nor a jock, but just that weird kid nobody ever wanted to really talk to.
He never let all that bother him, he had a wild imagination and even though he didn't have an imaginary friend or pet, he found solace in himself and his thoughts. Jack never knew his dad too well because his dad died when he was only 2 years,so he didn't have much memory of him, just an image of him from pictures he would see hanging around in the house. Jack loved his mother so much, he would talk to her about everything and would always seek her approval of anything he did, although with he would always be shut down by her, it was always a case of "No Jack u cant",but who could blame her, a single mother raising seven kids, five girls and two boys(jack included), she couldn't always give them what they wanted but she made sure they got what they needed. Jack was the last of the kids and was the ignorant one who didn't know what was going on half the time, he would struggle to get into conversations with them and still find it difficult to keep up. Still he never let it bother him, Cus he was always hopeful that the future would be great. Jack loved to sing a lot, he would sing at the top of his voice and disturb the neighbors,it was his talent, even though he always envied the fact that his elder brother James could draw perfectly and with ease, he would practice night and day to be able to draw as good as his elder brother but to no avail, James loved Jack but never had time for him, James would always be out with friends or going on errands for their mother, leaving Jack all alone, but Jack loved his brother
still and wished he would have more time for him, he would reminisce about the times when he and Jack would talk for hours and play together and even when James had drawn up a comic book for him,it was his first ever comic book and he loved it so much.
During his highschool days, it was the same story, he was still that weird kid no one really wanted to talk to, so he would just go about his business alone. He was no stranger to bullies and he would go home with a busted lip and lie to his mom so she didn't worry.
Over a period of time he gained weight and would get teased a lot in school about his size and how he would end up alone because no girl would ever go out with him, this pushed Jack to a state of depression and he lost all hope of the bright future he always envisioned for himself . He began to live a life of "I'll settle for whatever I get" and never tried to do anything he had even stopped singing as much as he usually did, until he met Gabe.
Gabe was one of the popular kids in school, he was every teenage girls dream, with his boy band look, and bill board poster smile, he was loved by all, and hates by those who envied him. It was during their biology class Gabe had helped jack when with an assignment he didn't get done on its due date when he saw Jack trying to sneak out of the class in other to avoid being sent to detention, he passed his over to Jack to quickly copy down what he had written and Jack wondered why anybody would be nice to him. Gabe would always talk with him in public and was actually interested in being his friend for the first time in his life and that made Jack really happy. The two would always hang out together and Gabe thought jack how to stand up for himself. Jack
began to gain his confidence back and began to express himself more ,but there was still a problem of his size, even though he had a bit of confidence his weight would always make him feel a bit insecure and he would go back into his shell of loneliness. Gabe saw him looking depressed on a Saturday afternoon and asked what was wrong, Jack explained to Gabe how his he felt about being over weight and not having a girlfriend, Gabe looked at James and said these words "I don't know much about stuff, but I know this, if u want something you gotta go get it yourself, no one is gonna get it for you, you can't sit around feeling sorry for yourself when you can do something about it ". Jack thought about what Gabe had said that night and decided to lose the weight, he waited till summer break and started working out, he looked up online for a diet plan and work out routine and stuck to it all through summer.....
